The Waycross Okefenokee chapter of Ducks Unlimited is proud to present our Retriever Challenge to be held March 1st, 2008 near Waycross, GA at Mossy Pond Outfitters. The event will include a retriever challenge stake similar to a master level hunt test and a fun stake similar to junior and/or senior level hunt tests. The master level stake will have cash prizes for first, second, and third places determined by a percentage of the entries. First place in the master level stake will be awarded a shotgun, compliments of DU sponsors.
This event is designed as a family outing, with an effort to raise conservation funds for Ducks Unlimited and to showcase the talents of the sporting retrievers we rely upon as a vital conservation tool. There will be activities for younger children hosted by Greenwings. The Okefenokee chapter of DU will be hosting a dinner (fish fry with all the trimmings) and banquet at the lodge upon conclusion of the day’s events.
Each entry will include a membership in Ducks Unlimited and a meal ticket for the Saturday evening dinner. Additional meal tickets will be available for 10.00 each (please purchase additional tickets ahead so we can properly plan the food quantity required). Guests and spectators are very welcome at this event…the more the merrier.
The entry fees and prize monies are as follows:Master level entry fee per dog- 100.00
Senior/Junior level entry fee per dog- 55.00

Master Level Awards:
1st place -Trophy, shotgun (Model to be announced), cash award based on 20% of Master level entry funds
2nd place-Trophy and cash award based on 15% of Master level entry funds
3rd place- Trophy and cash award based on 10% of Master level funds
4th place - Trophy
